My Mom has kept Katrina’s lilly, back from her college days- it was a
dying plant, barely alive when she finally gave it to my Mom. Mom has
nourished it, and it’s grown into a lush green plant. Yet it has not
bloomed yet. Now, completely out of season- especially since it is
staying outside, not inside- it has a single bloom. And today, this
morning, my Mom saw the bloom open for the first time.-Patrick
