Landmark- Conor eats!
No need for food!
Last night, February 15 around 8 PM, Conor Ross Flanagan consumed solid food (beyond breastmilk and medicine) for the very first time! I’d like to think his first real ‘meal’ was this morning, because it was REALLY watered down last night, but there it is! He had breast milk mixed with cereal- last night it was more like thickened milk, this morning it was more like “oatmeal” and thick. Katrina got to feed him his first food.
He is just over three months old, but we began- with doctors counsel- to feed him his first bit of cereal because during the day he just was not eating enough because of the bottle and gas pains I think. He just rejected it too much. He would eat, but not enough. So we decided that on the feedings he does not eat enough, I will mix him up a small portion of the creal to eat. We have to be careful, because while breast milk cannot make a baby overweight- a common cause for weight issues in babies is too much cereal product.
So, put this in the history of baby calendar.
February 15th- Conor’s First Solid Food
PS- Yes, I know he has red eye… sadly I don’t have my anti-red eye software here, so I cannot fix it. If anyone wants to send us a good program for image editting I’d appreciate it… I had some really good ones, but they have been lost or damaged with time.
Just call him “Terminator Conor”!

Yay!!! I am so excited for Conor! I know you guys must be enjoying each new step as it comes. I would love to try to stick with Friday nights coming over to hang out with the three of you. I cannot do it this weekend because I am helping my third roommate move in. Dana Rosado is going to be our third roommate, and she has to get all her stuff in this weekend. Let’s tenatively plan for next Friday night, though. How does Feb. 24th at 6:30ish sound? Just let me know if that will be a problem and if you want me to cook something to bring for dinner. I truly don’t mind at all! Talk to you guys again soon!
