  • An Eternal Glimpse

    Life always seems so
    clear

    When we are lifted
    above our normal perspective

    By being immersed
    deeply within its turbulence.

    It is then that we
    capture a glimpse of eternity

    Its sheen of ethereal
    value.

    We compare it to the
    things in our lives

    As we might compare an
ant bite to an infant’s birth

    And ever so briefly we
    catch hold of understanding.

    To seek wisdom in life
    is to pursue those moments

    And covetously
grasp to the understanding they give

    Lest we loose it when
    we return once more

    To the froth of
    everyday tide.
